RMT SUCCESS at Youth Percussion Ensemble Day

Sunday 28.02.10 at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London

This event was organised by Sankorfa, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Ensemble in Residence to inspire young percussion and drum kit players and to encourage the creation and development of more percussion ensembles at a junior level within the UK. The day consisted of a combination of percussion ensemble competitions and workshops, as well as opportunities to see performances by Sankorfa and the Guildhall Percussion Ensemble.

The RMT Percussion Ensembles competed with youth percussion ensembles from around the UK at the event. The Monday Primary Group came 3rd in its class and the Senior Tuesday Group achieved 2nd in its class.

RMT would like to thank Jason Reay for his hard work in organising the groups’ participation at the Ensemble Day and to congratulate all ensemble members on their achievement. We would also like to thank parents for getting involved on the day.
