Caterina Dellabona
Caterina is a London based Music Therapist, originally from Italy.
She holds a BMus Music degree from Goldsmiths University (main instruments are clarinet and saxophone), a PGCert in Sounds of Intent from University of Roehampton, and MA Music Therapy from Anglia Ruskin University.
Caterina has experience working with children in the Early Years, children with visual impairments, Autism, Severe and Profound and Multiple Learning needs, children with neurodegenerative diseases, children in Social Emotional and Mental Health schools, and adults in Neurorehabilitation. Outside of London, Caterina has experience working with children in refugee camps in Greece.
Caterina is psychodynamically trained, and also takes a developmental approach in her work. Her sessions are mainly based on responding to the client’s needs through improvisation and non-verbal communication. She is passionate about the use of music as a powerful medium that transcends barriers and brings solace to those in need.
