Bethany Calder

Classically trained at the Royal College of Music & Trinity College of Music, Bethany is a highly experienced performer and teacher of upper strings.  Bethany’s love of orchestral playing is a passion she works hard to pass on to her students.  During her many years as a string teacher Bethany taught across the age groups, with students awarded places at Junior Conservatoires, the National Youth Orchestra and the National Childrens Orchestra.

Combining knowledge of teaching with her extensive management experience in the Music Education sector, Bethany’s role as Development Director encompasses many aspects of RMT’s planning and delivery, including managing the Team Leaders/Lead Teachers and working with schools and external organisations to ensure the Trust offers a consistently high quality and broad range of musical experiences for the young people it serves.  Bethany’s enduring passion for enabling young people to realise their personal and musical potential is the driving factor behind her work for RMT.
